Mexican Cookies
These sweet little cookies are made with tortillas!
- 4 6 ″ flour tortillas
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon shortening
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Cut each tortilla into 8 wedges.
Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until slightly browned on the edges.
Meanwhile, in a microwave or double boiler, melt chocolate chips and shortening. Stir until smooth. Keep warm.
In a large resealable plastic bag, combine confectioners sugar and cinnamon. Add tortilla wedges a few at a time, shaking to coat.
Place on wax paper-lined baking sheet. Drizzle with melted chocolate. Refrigerate.
