Preheat oven to 300 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, combine 4 cups old-fashioned rolled oats, 1/4 cup wheat germ, 1/4 cup untoasted sesame seeds, 1/2 cup shelled sunflower seeds, 1/4 cup slivered almonds, and 1/4 cup flaked coconut.
Mix thoroughly.
In a small mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup honey and 1/3 cup vegetable oil.
Pour liquid mixture onto oats.
Stir thoroughly, ensuring everything is covered.
Place granola mixture in a 12" x 17" pan or on a foil covered flat baking sheet.
Evenly spread oats mixture across foil. Bake in 300 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown. Mix occasionally while baking.
Remove from heat and allow a few moments to stand. Keep leftovers in a sealed container.
