Tomato Mozzarella Salad
Try this Tomato Mozzarella Salad for a salad your friends and family will love! This 1990’s-inspired salad features fresh tomato, sliced mozzarella cheese, and alluring basil for a tasty dish that works great as an appetizer or a main course!
- 4 medium-size ripe tomatoes, sliced
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 2 tablespoons basil leaves, cut into julienne strips
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Splash of balsamic vinegar, optional
- Salt and pepper to taste
Slice 4 medium-size ripe tomatoes.
Slice 8 ounces mozzarella cheese.
Cut 2 tablespoons basil leaves into julienne strips. To do this, roll basil leaves into a cigar shape and cut.
In layers, add slices of tomatoes and mozzarella cheese to plate, layering the tomatoes and cheeses on top of each other.
Sprinkle cut basil on top of tomatoes and cheese.
Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil. If desired, add a splash of balsamic vinegar.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Serve at room temperature and enjoy!
