Peel and thinly slice four cups of apples.
Place the apple slices in a bowl and add ½ cup of sugar, 3 teaspoons of lemon juice and ½ a cup of apple juice. Stir the ingredients.
In a 8″x 8″ lightly greased pan place the apples.
In another bowl mix 1 cup of flour, 2 tsp. of baking powder, ¼ tsp. salt, ¼ tsp. nutmeg and ½ tsp. cinnamon.
In a separate bowl add ¼ cup of softened butter, ½ cup of sugar and ½ cup of milk. Whisk until creamy.
Add the flour mixture. Mix this together and spread over the apples.
Bake in a 450 degree oven for 40 minutes.
