Apple Pie Bites

Make these delicious apple pie bites for a bite-size dessert the whole family will love! These easy finger desserts feature cinnamon and apple rolled up in a flaky pastry crust. It’s an apple snack that’s good any time of day!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 C. butter
  • 1/2 C. sugar
  • 2 T. apple pie spice
  • 3 Granny Smith apples
  • 1 (12 oz.) can lemon-lime soda
  • 1 (15 oz.) pkg. refrigerated pie crusts (2 crusts)
  • Milk
  • Sparkling sugar

Instructions

  • Bring pie crusts to room temperature. Preheat oven to 425° F.  Line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside. 
  • In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt butter in the microwave. In a separate small bowl, stir together sugar and apple pie spice. 
  • Peel and core apples and cut each into eight even wedges; place in a medium bowl. Add soda and stir. Set aside.
  • Unroll pie crusts on a work surface. Spread half the melted butter over one side of each round. Sprinkle each with half the sugar mixture.
  • Cut each round into 6 even strips. Cut strips in half crosswise. Drain the apples and pat dry with paper towels.
  • Place one apple wedge at the short end of the strip and roll up. Place on baking sheet, seam side down, covered with parchment paper.
  • Brush rolled up apples with milk and sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 5 minutes.
