Homemade Creamed Style Corn

Enjoy the wonderful flavor of freshly picked sweet corn mixed with thick sweet cream when you make this delicious Homemade Cream Corn side dish.

  • 2 ½ C. fresh corn kernels, about 5 ears
  • 1 T. sugar
  • 1 T. flour
  • 3 T. butter, melted
  • 1 C. heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  • Remove the kernels with a peeler or knife.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the corn, sugar, flour and butter; mix well.
  • Pour the corn mixture into a large skillet over medium heat and cook for 5 minutes, stirring often.
  • Add the heavy cream and cook for an additional 10 minutes, stirring often until the creamed corn is thickened to your liking.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Spoon into a serving bowl and enjoy!
