Sauteed Mushrooms and Caramelized Onion

  • 3 C. baby button mushrooms, or mushrooms of your choice
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 2 T. olive oil
  • 1 t. soy sauce
  • 1/4 C. white wine
  • Salt and pepper
  • Fresh parsley


  • Clean the mushrooms with a damp towel, cutting the ends as necessary.
  • Heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over high heat.
  • Add onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Add mushrooms and cook with the onion for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring often.
  • Add soy sauce, salt, pepper, and white wine.
  • Continue to cook until wine evaporates and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  • Serve and enjoy!


If you’re lucky enough to have leftovers, just pop them in the fridge and reheat in the microwave as needed. They’ll keep for up to five days.
