It’s not only a great centerpiece, but makes the perfect gift for birthdays, special occasions, or just to show you care!

Ingredients

  • Red spray paint
  • 1 6 - inch terra cotta pot
  • 1 Styrofoam piece
  • 1 12 - 14 inch Dowel
  • Hot glue gun
  • 1 8 - inch Styrofoam ball
  • 5 (13 oz.) bags Dubble Bubble bubblegum balls, assorted colors
  • 10 to 12 red gumballs

Instructions

  • First, paint 6-inch terracotta pot red with red spray paint. It usually takes about 3 coats of paint. Allow each paint of coat to dry before applying the next. Make sure the terra cotta pot is completely dry before continuing.
  • Place Styrofoam piece in terracotta pot. Cut the Styrofoam so that it fits snugly into the pot.
  • Turn the pot with fitted Styrofoam over so that it is level on the surface. Push the dowel through the bottom of the pot, taking care to be sure that it stands up straight.
  • With the hot glue gun, liberally apply glue around the hole at the bottom of the pot.
  • Place round, 8-inch Styrofoam ball on top of pot, pushing down through the dowel and on top of the glue. Hold in place until glue dries.
  • Using hot glue gun, place a dab of glue on the wrapped Dubble Bubble gumballs. Place the first gumball on the center of the Styrofoam.
  • From there, glue a line of gumballs, taking care to vary the colors, around the Styrofoam ball. Leave a patch of the Styrofoam ball uncovered at the top.
  • Apply glue to uncovered patch of the top of the Styrofoam. Place wrapped red gumballs on top, simulating the top of a gumball machine.
  • Allow glue to dry. Use as the centerpiece at a celebration or as a lovely gift. Enjoy!
