Carnitas Pizza

- 1 12 inch prepared homemade or pre-made pizza crust
- 1/2 cup salsa or salsa verde
- 1 to 2 cups carnitas
- 1 small bunch green onions, sliced diagonally and thin
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced in thin strips
- 2 cups mozzarella, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend cheese, shredded
- 1 small bunch fresh cilantro
- 1 jalapeno, if desired
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Place dough on a pizza pan.
Spread salsa in thin layer across the dough.
Place 1 to 2 cups carnitas over salsa.
Chop 1 red bell pepper into thin strips. Place on carnitas. If desired, do the same for 1 jalapeno, taking care to leave the seeds behind.
Slice 1 small batch green onion diagonally and thin. Sprinkle over pizza.
Spread 2 cups shredded cheese such as mozzarella or Monterey Jack over pizza.
Slice one small bunch fresh cilantro and sprinkle over pizza.
Bake in oven for 15-20 or until edges of crust are golden brown and cheese is melted. Serve and enjoy!
