Asian Pasta Salad

Craving an Asian-inspired dinner at home? This Asian Pasta Salad brings the delicious flavors of the Far East to your table, and with no fuss! This quick and easy recipe goes great with chicken or beef, and when paired with crab rangoons, it’s out of this world!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces linguine, uncooked
  • 3 cups broccoli flowers
  • 12 cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 2 large carrots, scraped and sliced diagonally
  • 1/4 C. soy sauce
  • 2 T. sesame seeds, toasted
  • 2 T. brown sugar
  • 2 T. sesame oil
  • 1 T. lemon juice
  • 1/4 t. hot sauce
  • 1 large clove garlic, minced

Instructions

  • Cut 3 cups of broccoli flowers.
  • Peel 2 large carrots.
  • Slice 4 green onions, keeping some of the greens for color.
  • Slice 12 cherry tomatoes in half. 
  • Add 1/4 cup soy sauce to empty jar or small container.
  • Add 2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds. To toast seeds, simply place in 350 oven for 10 minutes. Add 2 tablespoons brown sugar.
  • Add 2 tablespoons sesame oil.
  • Add 1 tablespoon lemon juice.
  • If desired, add 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce to give salad a spicier flavor. Seal and shake until well blended.
  • Once shaken, add 1 clove minced garlic.  Once garlic is added, shake again.
  • Pour over Asian pasta salad and toss gently. Serve and enjoy!
