Apple and Squash Bake
The air is getting cooler and the crops in the fields are brittle in the wind. It’s harvest time! Enjoy this scrumptious Harvest Bake made with apples and squash.
- 1 butternut squash, deseeded and peeled
- 1/4 C. butter, melted
- 2 apples, any variety, thinly sliced
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 C. brown sugar
- 1 T. flour
Cut squash into 3/4 inch slices. Layer the squash in the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch pan.
Place apples over the squash
In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, flour, and salt. Mix and add melted butter.
Spoon the mixture evenly over the apples. Bake uncovered in a 350 degree oven for 50-60 minutes or until tender.
