Do you know about the importance of cooking and eating with your family? In this day and age, it can be tough especially with a wild family schedule and jobs. But it’s important to take that time to do so, because the benefits are lasting.
Eating & Cooking with Family
Children benefit greatly from the ritual of eating meals together. Family meals provide opportunities for sharing the day’s events and create a relaxing transition from busy daytime activities to slower-paced evening ones. Cooking meals at home and involving your children in food preparation is the best way to teach them healthy eating habits. Statistically, children who grow up in households where meals are eaten together perform better academically and show less tendency toward engaging in risky behaviors such as smoking, drinking, and taking drugs, according to Washington State University nutrition researchers Martha Marina and Sue Butkus.

For many Americans their closest relationship with home cooking comes from watching celebrity chefs on television. But cooking shows contribute to people relying on eating out because they make one feel like they can’t do what professional chefs can. You shouldn’t feel self-conscious about your cooking abilities, you should feel confident! Rada likes to make it easy and fun to cook. Try our Chicken Tacos recipe, it’s easy, tasty and healthy!
