Crispy Rice Treats Recipe

Ingredients you will need:

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 30 regular size marshmallows
  • 3 3/4 cups crispy rice cereal (or Rice Krispe brand)

In a large saucepan over low heat, melt 3 tablespoons butter. Once butter is melted, add 30 regular size marshmallows and allow those to melt as well.

Once marshmallows are melted, add 3 3/4 cups crispy rice cereal to saucepan. Mix thoroughly until Rice Krispe cereal is coated. Try stirring with the Rada Non-Scratch Spoon, which is safe for non-stick pans.

Place coated crispy rice into 8 x 8 inch pan. Try placing a small amount of butter on your fingers for easier compressing.

Hi, Kristy in the Rada Kitchen, and today I want to share my Rice Krispe Treat with you. I used them in making this cute little candy bouquet. Now, it’s a small pan of Rice Krispe treats, so I’m going to use an 8 x 8 inch pan. I’m using Rada Stoneware, so it doesn’t require any other seasoning, if you’re using any other pan, you’ll want to spray it with cooking spray, or rub butter around it so it doesn’t stick to it.

Now, on a stove in a large saucepan over low heat, we’re going to melt 3 tablespoons of butter. I have a nonstick pan, so I’m going to use this Rada nonstick Cook’s Spoon, it won’t damage that coating in your pan, I would use it even fi I didn’t have nonstick because it works really well. You can stir and serve with it.

Once your butter is all melted, we’re going to add 30 regular sized marshmallows. We’re still over the low heat and these you might want to keep stirring as they melt they’ll get really gooey so it is good to have a nonstick pan. So now the marshmallows are all melted liked this, you’ll want to remove them from the heat, and we’re going to add 3 and ¾ cups of crispy rice. You’ll just stir that in until it’s well coated.

Now we’re going to put it in that 8 x 8 inch pan. And just push it down into the corners, if you want to butter your fingers and push it with your fingers. You might have to put butter on your spoon. The best way to get it down into the pan is to rub butter on your fingers. You need to keep pushing down, and it might get a little sticky. If you get butter on the top, it’s OK, that’s just an extra little treat.

You’ll want to let these set and cool for about 15 minutes before you cut them. And that’s how easy it is to make Crispy Rice Treats.
