Fish Bowl Punch Video Recipe

Fish Bowl Punch Video Transcript

Hi, welcome to the Rada kitchen, my name is Kristy and today I want to share a recipe on how to make Fish Bowl Punch. It’s a perfect Halloween party punch. Why clean the fish bowl when you can invite your friends over to drink the punch?

First you need a fish or punch bowl. I’m going to show you how to make it look like gooey, murky fish water. First you need 6 cups of water in a pan and we’re going to bring that to a boil. Now that our water is bowling, we’re going to add a small cup of white pearl tapioca. We’re going to reduce that heat to medium and boil for 20 minutes. While it’s boiling you might want to stir occasionally so it doesn’t stick together.

Now we’re going to divide our tapioca mixture evenly between two bowls. In one bowl we’re going to add 2 drops of green food coloring. 2 drops of yellow. In the other bowl we’re going to add 4 drops of blue. And to each bowl we’re going to add 2 tablespoons of sugar. And we’re just going to stir that until the sugar dissolves. We’re going to let these bowls sit undisturbed and uncovered for 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes you drain the water off the tapioca and keep running cold water over it until it runs clear. Then you end up with these really neat, touchy-feely frog eyes. You’re going to spoon that into your fish bowl or you can make mini-aquariums with a glass.

Now we’re going to add a little seaweed. I have a green apple licorice stick. I’m going to cut that, not all the way through. For some seaweed plants I’m going to take this green licorice and place it. It’s not going to float, and you don’t want to cut it all the way through so they can stick together.

Now to add little fish. I have the sweetest fish. Get them wit and stick them to the side of the bowl. Now you’re ready to serve your punch. Now we’re going to use lemonade or your favorite soda, perhaps lemon-lime soda. Now the ratio is up to you. Of course, the more lemonade you use, the murkier the water is going to buy. Now that water is pretty murky so I’m going to add the lemon-lime soda.

And there’s your Fish Bowl Punch. It’s great to serve with the Rada Soup Ladle. It’s a great punch for your next Halloween party!
