Johnnie, a team captain of 4-Ever Free Relay for Life team, wrote us to share her Rada Cutlery fundraising success story. This was the first time her 4-Ever Free Relay Team fundraised with Rada Cutlery.  They set a $1000 goal for their fundraiser. The 4-Ever Free Relay team is made up of 16 people, including 4 ovarian and breast cancer survivors.

Johnnie said she heard about Rada Cutlery’s fundraising opportunity from an ad in a local paper.  All of her Relay for Life teammates agreed that selling American-made Rada products is what they wanted to do in order to raise money for their goal.

4-Ever Free Relay for Life Team

The variety of useful Rada Cutlery items offered is extensive.  The Rada fundraising catalog includes kitchen knives, utensils and gift sets as well as stoneware, cookbooks, and quick mixes. Fundraising groups work directly with Rada, so there are no middlemen making the items more expensive for the fundraiser supporters.

Johnnie called the 800 number and requested fundraising materials.  They received their packet about a week later, one that included catalogs and order-takers for every person on their team, as well as an order form and the leader’s overview guide.

“We said a prayer and set our deadline for three weeks, then we started our mission. We had no problems selling these products because they sell themselves. Everyone can find something they want because there is such a wide selection and great quality,” Johnnie said.

When the 4-Ever Free Relay Team reached their deadline and added up their orders, they had sold $3,517.90. Their 40% profit percentage gave their Relay for Life team a profit of $1,386.25 for their cause and the had exceeded their goal.

“WOW! GOD had blessed us! Everyone was shocked,” Johnnie said.

Because 4-Ever Free’s order was over $1,000 they were able use the free “Simple Sorting” option.  This service bundles the orders by salesperson which makes it easy for the leader to distribute the items to the sellers.   Also, each salesperson receives a printout of what they sold and the amount of profit they earned.  The leader receives a profit summary.

“We met and had so much fun tying up our orders and attaching our thank you notes. As we delivered the orders, others would see them and wanted one too so now we are doing a follow-up order,” Johnnie said.  Follow up orders are common provide an easy way to increase profits.
