Hi, it’s Kristy in the Rada Cutlery kitchen. Today I’m making a recipe for pizza burgers out of our Fix It in Foil recipe book. You can make food in the oven, campfire, grill, you can make it ahead of time so when you come home from work you just pop it in the oven. They’re really fun to make. Today we’re going to make pizza burgers.

You’re going to need a pound of ground beef, the leaner cut, so it doesn’t get so greasy. If you’re making this in the oven you’ll want to pre-heat it to 350 degrees. Otherwise you’ll want to preheat your grill to a medium heat. We’re going to need ¼ cup finely chopped onions. This is one of my favorite knives. I tend to use it a lot. It’s the Rada Cook’s Knife. It’s like a French Chef Knife but it’s not as big. It has good control to cut items like onions. It cuts everything. Vegetables. Fruits. You can chop like this, like a professional chef. It’s really easy to use. So we’ll add that to our hamburger.

And to that bowl we’re going to add an egg, hold it together. And add ¼ cup Parmesan cheese. And then here I have half a teaspoon of dried basil, a half teaspoon dried oregano, a half teaspoon of rosemary. And then about however much salt and pepper you want. Maybe about half a teaspoon. Then we’re going to blend this really well together.

So now we’re just going to shape this into 4 equal size patties, about a quarter inch thick. So here we have 4 pieces of tinfoil that are 14 inches long. We’re just going to place those patties in the middle of that. Once you have it in the tinfoil we’re going to do what’s known as a flat pack. Bring the center together and fold. Then fold again. Make a nice seal on it. Then we’re just going to fold up the edges.

So now they’re ready. You can put them in the oven at 350 for 20 minutes. You can double wrap them and put them on the campfire for about 8 to 15 minutes or until the hamburger is fully cooked. Or you can put it on a preheat medium grill directly over the heat. You’ll put the lid on and cook for 12 to 18 minutes until the hamburgers are done.

So while my pizza burgers are cooking, I’m going to slice up 4 slices of provolone cheese. You can use mozzarella if you prefer. I like to buy blocks of cheese. It’s not a problem to cut when you have this Rada Cheese Knife. It easily cuts through hard and soft cheese. You can cut it really thick or really thin. The holes let air in so the cheese always falls away. So you can even do shaved cheese if you wanted.

Then you cut 4 English muffins. If you have this Rada Bagel Knife they cut easily and you have a nice slice of an English muffin. We’re going to pop these in the toaster.

So, the burgers are done. What I’m going to do is carefully unwrap the foil. Then I’m going to set the cheese on top of it. Then I’m going to tent that around it so it’s melted. Then I’m going to spread some pizza sauce on our toasted English muffins. Then you can take the burger out of the foil.

That’s a delicious pizza burger. You can make it in the oven or over the fire. It’s one of our recipes in our Fix It in Foil recipe book. Thanks for watching!
