You or the helper should place the 4 crescent rolls on a baking sheet. If you have a metal pan, you might want to add cooking spray. Try the Rada Cookie Sheet, a stone sheet that ensures an even baking temperature and requires no cooking spray.

Chopping ham

Finely chop 1/4 cup cooked ham. Try using the Rada Plain Food Chopper, a utensil that makes chopping a cinch.

Dicing ham

Use a butter knife to lightly spread mustard across the crescent rolls. If you have a helper, let him or her complete this step. Try the Rada Party Spreader, which isn’t sharp and is safe for children’s use.

Spreading mustard on crescent roll dough

Spread 1 tablespoon shredded cheese and 1 tablespoon chopped ham across each crescent roll. This is a great job for the helper.

Placing cheese on dough

Roll crescent roll dough inwards towards the point. Place in 375 degree oven for 11-13 minutes or until crust is golden brown.

Remove from heat and allow to cool. Serve and enjoy!

Hi, Kristy in the Rada kitchen, and today I have a little helper. Her name’s Maya, she’s 9-year-old, and she’s going to help me make a recipe from our A Cookbook for Mommy & Me. This is a great cookbook if you have a child or grandchild. It has over 100 recipes, from appetizers to main dishes to desserts. It has instructions for what the mommy should do and what the little helper has to do. Today we’re going to make Ham and Cheese Rollups.

We’re going to start with an 8 ounce roll of crescent roll dough. A ¼ cup of cheddar cheese, some prepared mustard, and ¼ cup finely diced ham.

It tells the mommy to unroll the crescent rolls and the little helper can cut 4 of them. We’ll need a baking sheet. You can actually start children helping in the kitchen at 5-years-old. I’m going to have her use the Rada Party Spreader. It’s not sharp, it’s like a butter knife.

Alright Maya, unroll four of these triangles. Maya, if you just want to put those on that Rada Cookie Sheet. If you’re using a metal pan you might want to spray it with cooking spray. Meanwhile, I’m going to take this Food Chopper and we’re going to cut up some ham. We only need about ¼ cup.

So now what I’m going to have you do is take this Party Spreader and take the mustard and spread that on there. Meanwhile, we have our oven preheating up to 350 degrees. Now we’re going to take about a tablespoon of cheese and sprinkle it over these crescent rolls. Now we’ll add our chopped up ham. These would be good for a quick lunch.

Now we’re going to roll them up like a crescent roll. So you start with the wide end. She’s good because she’s rolling them loose and it’s always better to roll crescent rolls loose. It gives them more air, they get puffier that way.

So now we’re going to bake these in a 350 degree oven for 11 to 13 minutes or until crescent dough is golden brown.

So here are our delicious Ham and Cheddar Crescents. They’re still kind of hot so we’ll just put them on a plate They look like little moons. Lets look in the middle. Cheese and ham. They were pretty easy to make, weren’t they? It was fun. And that’s one of the recipes in A Cookbook for Mommy & Me cookbook.
