The Knights of Columbus is an organization that dates back to 1881 and is known for their philanthropy projects.

This worldwide organization is the largest Catholic family fraternal service organization with over 1.8 million members and 15,000 councils including 200 councils on college campuses.

Many of these councils use Rada Cutlery as a fundraiser for the different community service projects. All of Rada Cutlery’s products are Made in the USA in Waverly, Iowa. The products are manufactured, processed and shipped from this one location allowing us to offer the best quality and price. Organizations receive a 40% profit on everything they sell.

In the 2010 fraternal year the Knights of Columbus donated $154 million dollars to charity and performed 70 million man hours of voluntary service. This organization was also the first to establish a national blood drive in 1938, two years before the American Red Cross. In 2010, the members of the organization donated 413,000 pints of blood through their blood drives!

The Knights of Columbus also heavily support those with physical and developmental disabilities have given $382 million dollars over the past two decades to support this cause.

A Knights of Columbus council member in New Jersey has sold Rada Cutlery for another organization and was pleased with the products and thinks it would be a good fit for this organization as well.

“I have used Rada for the Glendora Rescue Squad in the past and it was a great success. I now belong to the Knights of Columbus and want to bring this fund raiser there.”

One of the reasons many non-profit groups like to fund raise with Rada Cutlery is due to our wide selection of American Made kitchen products. We offer groups a variety of kitchen knives, utensils, Quick Mixes, stoneware, and cookbooks. This selection makes it easy for customers to find something they want to purchase.  It is typical for supporters to be so pleased that they anxiously await the next fundraiser so they can add to their Rada collection.

Although membership for the Knights of Columbus is only open to men 18 years or older, many of the councils have women auxiliaries.  Since the auxiliary groups are not chartered by the supreme council they are able to choose their own name. Some of these auxiliaries include: Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Columbiettes, and Daughters of Mary Immaculate.
