Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie Recipe Video Transcript

Hi, Kristy in the Rada Kitchen, today I’m making a double layer Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie. Simple ingredients, anybody can make it, and I got the recipe out of our No Bake Cookies, Bars, & Pies cookbook. It’s full of recipes, easy to make, no bake cookies, bars, and pies.

So in a large mixing bowl, you’ll need half an 8 ounce package of cream cheese, that’s just half the package, and you’ll want to make sure it’s sofetened. And to that you’ll want to add a tablespoon of sugar, a tablespoon of milk, and a cup of peanut butter. And we’re just going to stir this together until it’s smooth. So once you have that all stirred in smooth, you’re going to add a cup and a half of whipped topping. We’re just going to gently mix that into the peanut butter mixture.

So now you can see it’s a nice creamy texture. And then you’ll have ready a prepared 9 inch graham cracker crust. Now we’re going to spread that on the bottom of that 9 inch crust. So it’s all even. Alright. It’s already looking yummy. So we’re going to set that aside in a large bowl. We’re going to take two 3 ounce packages of instant chocolate pudding and to that we’re going to add 2 cups of milk. And again, with the Rada Handi-Stir, we’re going to whip that up until it thickens. This Handi-Stir works really good on not only puddings, but scrambled eggs, pancakes, anything you have to add a liquid to a mix. Really adds nice air to that. Makes really fluffy. So you probably want to mix this about 2 minues. You want it pretty thick because look how full our pie already is so we don’t want it to ru n over the edge.

Alright, so now it’s nice and thick, and now we’re going to add the remaining whipped topping. Now, that was an 8 ounce container, we’re going to use the other half for the peanut butter filling. Just going to put the remaining in here and gently mix that in.

So once you have the whipped topping mixed in, you’re going to pour that on top of that peanut butter layer. This will be a great summertime dessert, you don’t have to start the oven to bake it. It’s going to be cool and creamy. And now for the finishing touch, we’re going to chop up 4 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups using the Rada Food Chopper. Works really well at chopping up candy, potatoes, celery, onions. And then you’ll just sprinkle that on the top. And then you’ll need to put this in the refrigerator for 4 hours before serving. And if you have leftovers, you’ll want to store them in the refrigerator, also. And there’s a yummy, double-layer Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie, out of our No Bake Cookies, Bars, & Pies cookbook.
