Caprese Salad Roll-Ups Recipe

Ingredients you will need:

  • 1 roll fresh mozzarella cheese, pre-rolled
  • 1 bag sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 pack fresh basil, leaves only
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon season salt
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Chop 1 bag sun-dried tomatoes.

Chef Ted dices sun-dried tomatoes.

Unroll 1 pre-rolled roll fresh mozzarella cheese. Spread chopped sun-dried tomatoes over the top.

Chef Ted places sun-dried tomatoes on mozzarella cheese.

Place 1 pack fresh basil leaves across top of cheese.

Chef Ted adds fresh basil to mozzarella and sun-dried tomatoes.

Combine 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, 1 teaspoon minced garlic, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 teaspoon season salt, and 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning.

Chef Ted adds seasoning to olive oil.

Drizzle most of mixture across top of cheese, but leave some for later.

Chef Ted adds olive oil to basil.

Carefully roll up the cheese.

Chef Ted carefully rolls mozzarella cheese.

Cut the cheese into wheels.

Chef Ted slices mozzarella cheese with Rada Cheese Knife.

Drizzle remaining mixture over top of wheels.

Chef Ted adds olive oil to wheels.

Hi, I’m Chef Ted, and I’m coming to you from the Rada Cutlery kitchen. Today I’m going to show you how to make a Caprese Roll-Up.

What I’m going to do is take a bag of sun-dried tomatoes, julienne cut. They’re actually dry, some you can get packed in olive oil. I’m just going to run a knife through them to make them finer. They don’t have to be too fine. I’m going to take a product that is basically a roll of fresh mozzarella.

What I’m going to do is spread the sun-dried tomatoes. Next I’m going to grab some fresh basil. And just lay the whole leaf over the top.

Now I’m going to take a teaspoon, a teaspoon and a half, of extra virgin olive oil. A little bit of minced garlic over season salt. We’re going to use the Rada Handi-Stir to mix that up. Drizzle it the full length, try to get a little of it everywhere. Roll the cheese.

Now I’m going to take the Rada Cheese Knife and just cut through here. Drizzle that over the top. And there you have the Caprese Roll-Up.
